Welcome to the Manx-American Racing Website

Dave Clarke has been involved in Motorcycle Road racing for over 25 years having marshalled at the Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix Races since 1981. He has been a Sector Chief Marshal for the TT and MGP (Sector 8, Kerrowmoar to Ramsey Hairpin) since 1994, and is also the Treasurer of the Isle of Man TT Marshals Association Ltd.

Since 1988 he has  competed in race meetings run by Andreas Racing Association at Jurby Airfield and on the Jurby South Road Circuit as well as in the UK and Ireland.

The teams first season was in 2000 with American Stephen John riding the teams ZXR400 Kawasaki to 19th place in the Lightweight 400cc TT, gaining a bronze replica. He followed this up with  21st place in the 400cc TT in 2002.

John 'Harry' Harrison in conjunction with Team JH Racing rode the bike at the 2000 Manx Grand Prix and finished 17th in the Ultra-Lightweight race, narrowly missing out on a replica.

In 2003 Stephen returned to race in the TT and finished in 16th place in the 125cc TT.

2003 also saw Dave ride both the 350cc Honda and the ZXR400 Kawasaki at both Billown and the Manx Grand Prix. At the Billown Circuit he competed in the Pre-TT Classic and Southern 100 meetings on the 350cc Classic Honda and also rode the Honda and the Kawasaki at Skerries. His main aim was the Manx Grand Prix where he finished 15th in the 400cc Newcomers race and 50th in the Ultra-Lightweight race.

Stephen John has been unable to return since 2003 but Dave has continued to ride both machines on Road Circuits in the Isle of Man, and at Skerries in Ireland.

It is now time to look forward to 2006.

Dave will be competing again this year on the Kawasaki, but may also give the Classic Honda a run at the Pre-TT Classic meeting at Billown. The main aim of the year will once again be the Manx Grand Prix in August where Dave will be looking to build on his performance in 2004 after the disappointments of the 2005 Manx Grand Prix.

Stephen John is hoping to compete at some road races in the UK during the year on his own R6 Yamaha in preparation of a return to the TT in 2007.

We are currently looking for sponsors for the 2006 season. Would you like your companies name on a bike competing at the Manx Grand Prix Races this year? If so, please get in touch.

Thank you for visiting our website. Dave hopes that you enjoy your racing this year and, if you see us in the paddock, please feel free to come over and speak to us.

Have a great 2006.
